Bryn has crossed to Rainbow Bridge

This photo was taken 4 days ago in the office at work, Bryn & Trudy relaxed in their usual place..

I woke up this morning and knew that today would be the last journey for my beloved boy Bryn. We've shared many more months of precious life than we had thought since he was diagnosed with bone marrow failure early this year, every day has been a bonus to see his lovely face and watch his waggly tail. Early on the vet told us short term paliative care. Who would have imagined that the little fella would have held on to life for so long. The last couple of months has been slow going for him with a sedentry lifestyle and we knew that he could go at any time so every extra day we shared was a bonus.

For anyone that has ever owned and lost their best friend before you will know how hard it is to say goodbye and how much it breaks your heart to let them go, especially with such a young dog as Bryn (he was only a baby at 3 1/2 years old). So this morning when I got up with the tears streaming down my face as fast as the water from the shower, I knew that I had to let my boy go. He bravely struggled to his feet wagging furiously at the door thinking we were going to work........he never once flinched, whimpered or worried as we lay him down on the table for the very last time. As I cuddled him close he looked up at me with those lovely eyes and in my mind I heard him tell me that it was time, Granny Tess, Bruno and Rocky and all the others were waiting for him at Rainbow Bridge to go and play racey chasey games until we meet again.

Goodnight my lovely Bryn, God Bless you.
